Eloquent is a serif typeface that was created as a typographical study for one of my upper division design courses. The horizontal lines in Eloquent are very contrasted allowing the typeface to appear delicate and classic. In addition to the high contrast horizontal lines, the x–height of this type design is also on the taller side which  increases the weight and size of the counters in the letter forms, creating even more contrast.
