UNDER CODED

MAGAZINE | LAYOUT DESIGN

Under Coded was a magazine that was developed for an upper division project during my Senior year in the design program at CSUS. The collection of information and the interviewing of previous alumni for the included articles was gathered through the combined effort of Bee Lor, Gabby Saliba, Daniel Lenihan and myself. Photography was also provided mainly by the Alumni and also by members of our group. The design and name of the magazine was based off the word Under Coded. Under Coded is a semiotic term which refers to an image that is not easily deciphered and is somewhat abstract. This was the underlying concept for most of the design decisions through the entire magazine. After we developed the name and concept of the magazine as a team we then were expected to create and produce the entire magazine design and hardcopy individually.
