VISITING ARTISTS

Visiting Artists is a design project intended to showcase and market the upcoming artists that will be displayed every fall and spring semester in the University Union Gallery. The concept of the design for Fall 2019 Visiting Artists was based heavily on the transition of seasons that occurs between the summer and fall months. Instead of using fall leaves as the main element in this piece, I felt that using abstract shapes created by alcohol ink would create the illusion of leaves while also capturing the the motion and warmth of sun rays, blending the summer and fall seasons. The circles and dots in the design are also intended to represent water drops from an autumn storm and a day at the beach, again, blending the two seasons.
